Every year, I like to release music on my birthday, so this is 2023's birthday release. For this EP release, I gave myself some rules going into the writing and recording process. First, I made up 7 drum parts off of the top of my head and recorded them. Then, I wrote songs to those drum parts. I also did not use any reverb on my vocals. The room mics for the drums sort of became the reverb for the songs. I wanted to keep everything pretty simple, and I am happy with the way things turned out.
